Koulourakia: Greek Easter Cookies | The Family Cookbook

Once again I was welcomed into another Greek kitchen with Utah Greek food blogger Eleni Saltas. This time, her cousin Giorgiann was our host, and the treat she expertly baked was koulourakia, or Greek Easter cookies. Twisting the dough into the iconic koulourakia shape can apparently be tricky, and both women expressed a little bit of jealousy toward older more experienced hands they have witnessed manipulating the dough with expert ease. But once these ladies got into the zone, dozens of twists appeared on the baking sheet in no time as they chatted and caught up on life. And really, that’s what cooking’s all about, right?
